Harper Wood Assessment Centres

Hire the best talent for your business; attracted and assessed exclusively for your business and your specific roles and put through their paces during one of our bespoke assessment days at your site or ours.

With a four week lead time, save time, money and hassle by hiring a team in one day through our competency based assessment days, over a 5-6 hour process, rather than ad hoc interviews from an exclusive pool of athletes who have applied specifically to your organisation.

Harper Wood facilitates and populates assessment centres to select the best of the best.

We assess against our core competencies throughout our entire process, and specifically through our bespoke exercises on the physical assessment days, after which they will progress to client interviews, or their application will end.

Our assessment days involve a mix of formal and informal group and individual exercises designed to establish the value in transitioning an individual from sport to the business world. We only represent the best, who can make an impact with our client base.

The assessment days run consistently behind the scenes, but we also run these exclusively for our clients. Benefits to this approach include holding the session on client site, exclusivity over candidates and reassurance that every single one has applied specifically for the role, the possibility to bespoke to client competencies and existing process and the added dynamic that teams can be created in one day.

  • 500 Applicants per Assessment Day.

  • Each athlete pre-assessed against our core competencies during a telephone call, a zoom call, and final assessment day.

  • Tasks include self presentations, group dynamic exercises, team presentations, formal boardroom presentation, interview and an informal 1:1 interview.

  • Top 5% selected as successful Harper Wood candidates to be placed into commercial roles within our client base.

  • Post assessment day our successful candidates interview and meet with our clients and select their chosen career.
